DIVERSIFICATION OF PORTFOLIO & INCREASE OF AUM

  • Exploring more income producing real estate assets for commercial properties, including industrial facilities, logistic facilities and warehouse facilities.
  • Scaling up operation and targeting to enlarge total AUM to RM2.0 billion within the next 3 years.

ASSET ENHANCEMENT INITIATIVES

  • Restructuring and renovating the entire KIPMall Senawang, including the 51,000 sq ft area to facilitate a new anchor tenant, ST ROSYAM.
  • Major enhancements and upgrading works in KIPMall Masai, KIPMall Kota Tinggi, KIPMall Tampoi and KIPMall Melaka.

ENVIRONMENTAL, SOCIAL AND GOVERNANCE

  • Enhancing the solar photovoltaic (“PV”) systems to improve the efficacy of the solar PV systems so as to lower electricity tariff and reduce carbon footprint.
  • Installing electric vehicle charger stations in all KIPMalls and collect data for scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions under the ESG guideline.
  • In the midst of developing a 3-year ESG action plan in accordance to Bursa Malaysia Sustainability Reporting Guide, FTSE4Good Bursa Malaysia Index, UNSDG, GRI Standards and TCFD Guidelines.

KIP Reit Management Sdn Bhd (“REIT Manager”) was established on 18 December 2015 for the purpose of managing KIP REIT, one of Malaysia’s leading real estate investment trust focused on community-centric malls. It is principally responsible for the implementation of investment strategies in accordance with KIP REIT’s investment objectives and for the benefit of its unitholders.

The REIT Manager is backed by an experienced Board of Directors (“Board”) entrusted with the responsibility of overseeing the management of KIP REIT’s portfolio. The Board is supported by diverse team of senior management who are committed to professionally managing KIP REIT’s portfolio in line with its investment approach.

The REIT Manager is a CMSL holder for regulated activity of fund management in relation to asset management restricted to REITs and its conduct is guided by Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad Main Market Listing Requirements, Securities Commission Malaysia Guidelines on Listed Real Estate Investment Trust and the Malaysian Code on Corporate Governance.
