DIVERSIFICATION OF PORTFOLIO & INCREASE OF AUM

  • Exploring additional portfolio of income producing real estate assets used primarily for retail and commercial purposes , including industrial, logistic and warehouse facilities.
  • Scaling up operation and targeting to increase total Asset Under Management to RM2.0 billion within the next 3 years.

ASSET ENHANCEMENT INITIATIVES

  • Restructuring and renovating the entire KIPMall Senawang, including the 51,000 sq. ft. area to facilitate the new anchor tenant, ST ROSYAM.
  • Major enhancements and upgrading works to be implemented in KIPMall Masai, KIPMall Kota Tinggi, KIPMall Tampoi and KIPMall Melaka.

ENVIRONMENTAL, SOCIAL AND GOVERNANCE

  • Enhancing the solar photovoltaic (“PV”) systems to improve its efficacy to reduce electricity cost and carbon footprint.
  • Installing electric vehicle charging stations in all KIPMalls and collect data for scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions under the ESG guideline.
  • Developing a 3-year ESG action plan in accordance with Bursa Malaysia Sustainability Reporting Guide, FTSE4Good Bursa Malaysia Index, United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, Global Reporting Initiatives Standards and Task Force on Climate-Related Financial Disclosures Guidelines.

KIP REIT Management Sdn Bhd (“REIT Manager”) was established on 18 December 2015 for the purpose of managing KIP REIT, one of Malaysia’s leading real estate investment trusts which focuses on community-centric shopping malls. It principally manages KIP REIT’s assets and liabilities and implements strategic business direction and investment strategies in accordance with KIP REIT’s investment objectives and for the benefit of its unitholders. The REIT Manager is a Capital Market Services Licence holder, regulated by Securities Commission Malaysia (SC).

The REIT Manager is backed by an experienced board of directors (“the Board”), which is entrusted with the responsibility of overseeing the management of KIP REIT’s portfolio. The Board is supported by a diverse team of senior management who is committed to professionally managing KIP REIT’s portfolio.

The REIT Manager regulates activities of fund management in relation to asset management restricted to REITs, which includes investment strategies, and ensures that its conduct is guided by Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad Main Market Listing Requirements, SC Guidelines on Listed Real Estate Investment Trust and the Malaysian Code on Corporate Governance.
